Walton County, in addition to hosting a wide array of local community events, is adjacent to Gwinnett County and a short drive to the Gwinnett Area for attending concerts and events, only 50 miles from Atlanta events and dining, 30 minutes from the downtown Athens Classic Center and the University of Georgia events, upscale dining and entertainment options.

The City of Monroe provides an Art Guild, Music Guild, On Stage live theatre and the Monroe-Walton County Uncle Remus Regional Library. Host to the largest skydive club in Georgia, Monroe's airport also hosts a sailplane club and an award-winning squadron of the Civil Air Patrol. Lastly, hiking, trails, lakes, ball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts and other recreational areas dot the landscape of Monroe. The City of Monroe offers many events and activities throughout the year, including festivals, concerts, parades and marathons.

There are few cities that offer as much entertainment, excitement, and diversity as do the attractions in Monroe. For years, many visitors have portrayed Monroe as the perfect place for visiting historic sites, shopping, dining, and strolling the streets of beautiful downtown.

The City of Loganville boasts great shopping and dining options, as well as festivals and events throughout the year: the annual Autumn Heritage Festival, Tree Lighting and Christmas Parade, a new skating rink, indoor soccer complex, and bowling alley. Maxie Price Chevrolet also hosts several classic auto shows throughout the year.

Social Circle is home to the nationally renowned Blue Willow restaurant - Southern-style cuisine at its best. The city hosts numerous events during the year including, July 4th in the Circle, Fun Fall Fair, and the Friendship festival. The Social CIrcle Theater is home to live entertainment,
